Ladder Test

Alright guys,

I will probably sound like an idiot, but I have been shooting and reloading for years and I have never heard of a ladder test. Can someone walk me thru how to do it and what I am supposed to get out of it?

Thanks,
Greg

What is an SF340?

James do you ladder test? Tell us how you develop loads. How is the test on the MXX-123 going?

glad the article above is not rigid about having to do the ladder test at long range. it is better that way, but ive been scolded that "you cant tell anything from a 100 yrd ladder test" which just isnt true. many will believe this and then dont ladder test at all because they only have a 100 yrd range.

If you go to the thread brass spring back and go to page 3 I have posted my loading technique to another poster there. He e-mailed me and thanked me and what I described to him how I load develope was simple and easy enough to understand. What may work for me may not for you guys but it's done well for me in the past.

James -- you might save that in word for future use...that is what i do as well, with differing shots at at the increments) but you described it pretty concisely.
