Labradar

Wait 'til Brownells have their 10% off. Or Give them a call. Optics Planet also gives good discounts.

You just gotta ask. No Harm.

1. Wait for Labradar to go on sale:
  • Sometimes during the summer (like June 2018) the Labradar goes on sale ($509)
  • Usually sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Past 2 years -> Labradar has been on sale for ~$500 during that holiday period.
2. Combine any of the sales prices above with Brownell's 10% off coupon + free shipping (or another vendor offering 10%+) and you can get one around $450-$459.

I think the price used to be controlled. It used to be $549 (I think it was) anyplace you looked. That's changed recently; I've seen it priced below $500 on occasion (Bruno's has it on sale pretty often, but I only know that because I get their email notifications.) I'm not sure about pricing at other places. Owning one makes me less inclined to shop for prices.

Several years ago, I bought one hoping it would be an upgrade from my Caldwell and shooting chrony. I think it's a decent product, but it's pricey, finicky to use, and fragile. Doesn't work well with rimfire or airguns, had to send it back not once but twice for error message: Radar calibration indicates the transmitter frequency is not in an acceptable range. The first time was covered under warranty, this time was not, cost me another $190+ so if it happens again I doubt I will be sending it back. It really doesn't do anything the other chronographs won't. Guess I am just disappointed that at this price point, it wasn't more reliable and user friendly.

Sorry to hear that but mine is 5 years old now, and get's used about
twice a week. Solid unit from my stand point. I just started showing
my grandson how it works for rimfire. and why cheap ammo is just that.
I found that you set the radar to pistol, and the muzzle even with the
edge of the radar, and 4 inch away, It will drop only an average of 2 shots
of ten. If the muzzle is way forward of the unit, I don't think the side
pick up will register the shot too reliably. it needs to be close.

There’s also a recoil trigger. Have not used it but it might help.

Where is the best place and price to buy a Labradar.

Thanks
I know this is an old post, but someone revived it.
And found this info today.

Product Information;
Labradar
They are out of units late fall.

Wonder if this is an parts issue (lack of) or a Canadian issue. (Trudeau)
