MagnetoSpeed vs Lab Radar
I am going to be comparing the MagnetoSpeed with the Lab Radar in the coming weeks. This will be a 3 part series. This first part is a general look at the physical/feature comparison of the two. In part 2 I will be shooting shotgun, handgun, pellet gun, and rifle through both units at the same...forum.accurateshooter.com
Labradar vs Magnospeed v3
Before I make the purchase, I was wondering if there is any significant difference between the labradar and the magnospeed v3. Saving 200. wound be nice, but want what’s best and willing to pay more to have what’s right first time around. Looking at reviews, I don’t see a much of a...forum.accurateshooter.com

LABRADAR PROS AND CONS
Just ordered mine and was wondering what the pros and cons are from experience with it.forum.accurateshooter.com
I found that the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 works fine with the LabRadar. At least mine has now for over a year. Its being used 3 to 4 days a week on a weekly basis. It hasn't failed, me yet.. The only time it gives me a problem is when the battery power falls below 45%. Then the Bluetooth goes to flaking out if I get to far from the unit. I have never been able to get it to pair with the phone, in phone settings. BUT, it pairs every time when I open the APP. . You might be able to pick one up at a Flea Market or online for around $30.00.I like my labradar. I'd really like it if the Bluetooth worked so I could arm it with my phone. Also, if you shoot suppressed plan on getting a recoil trigger.
My LR and LG Phone don't work well together, but my Samsung Tablet works.I found that the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 works fine with the LabRadar. At least mine has now for over a year. could only get mine to work with my Samsung tablet the first time I used it. Same with my Samsung phone, worked first time then never again. The CS guy at Labradar blamed Samsung and said nothing wrong with labradar so my daughter gave me one of her old Iphones. Same exact thing happened, connected once then never again. Sent the LR back to Brownells, they refunded my money and I went back to my ProChrono which always connects to my tablet, rarely if ever misses a shot, and needs no special adapters for my .22's. Problem solvedMy LR and LG Phone don't work well together, but my Samsung Tablet works.
I just bought a JKL Trigger, but I haven't used it yet. I have read here this is a great help.could only get mine to work with my Samsung tablet the first time I used it. edit - oh and I keep a Magnetospeed in my range bag just in case I want to verify the velocity on a really cold or hot day or if a buddy at the range needs to verify one of his/her loads
You get a lot more wiggle room in setup with the trigger. Just get it aimed at the target and it performs as it should.I just bought a JKL Trigger, but I haven't used it yet. I have read here this is a great help.
Thanks, hope to get to the range soon. You get a lot more wiggle room in setup with the trigger. Just get it aimed at the target and it performs as it should.
Don't take this the wrong way but it does not matter to me anymore. Between the Prochono for load development and the Magnetospeed sporter for occasional verification I have all the chrono data I need. I use a laser boresighter for setting up my optical and it picks up every single shot for all of my rifles up to and including my air rifle with no extra $$$ adapters needed. I figure for $600 plus dollars the Labradar should be able to do what my $100 dollar optical does and do it reliablyI just bought a JKL Trigger, but I haven't used it yet. Its a game changer for LabradarI just bought a JKL Trigger, but I haven't used it yet. I have read here this is a great help.
When I bought a Labradar I believed one of the advantages would be that I could use it when shooting prone. In practice however I found that it is hard if not impossible to operate the unit because it was far forward of the trigger when you are laying flat. For my ProChrono I just made a small T shaped wooden base with a $20 tripod head attached for using it prone, my prone shooting problem was solvedNot a lot of love for the LR here. I’ve never used mine with a phone or tablet. Not sure why one would want to do that.
