L3I 700 Elite Rimfire magazines

Just finished my PT&G 40X repeater and I am now trying to get everything optimized. Had a couple of new mags I acquired from "somewhere" and have used them in the rifle on my first trip to the range. One is a stock Begara and the other a stock early Vudoo. The Vudoo runs OK but the Bergara latches a bit to low or the spring is not pushing the round up completely into the recess in the bolt head.

The bottom metal currently on my rifle is not adjustable as to latch height.

A shooting buddy tells me that the L3i mags (the plastic ones) are very adjustable and recommends them as a go to mag for my rifle.

I'd appreciate your comments on this.....

Garbage from my perspective.

I’ve tried one in multiple chassis and the same thing happens with all of them, they feed sort of okay when the gun is on a bench

If the gun is going to be used in any kind of positional shooting game they won’t work.

Don’t waste your money.

The factory mags.

There’s isn’t a single after market mag, that is more than 10 rounds that will run without issue, including extensions.

For me I’d rather run a factory mag that I know will work and do a mg change on the clock than east time trying to get a mag to feed. No thanks.

Edit to my last reply,

I mixed up to threads. Thought this was in reference to B14r mags.

The Alta might be your best choice right now. Those guys are good people and their mags have run well in Rimx and Vudoos.

Nothing runs in a B14r to save its life but the factory.

While I am no L3i fanboy after owning a couple of their CZ mags I will say I found the mags to be very reliable and easy to adjust in my Vudoo/KRG Bravo setup.
I haven't followed much on these 40X conversions but would ask what magazines those who know have recommended .
