L.E Wilson vs Press for depriming

Let's see if I can explain this???

I decided to try the Wilson decapping way rather than the way I knew by using a press.

When using a press, either FL'ing or just NK'ing, you kill two birds with one rock.

When doing the Wilson way, you only achieve one step.

So why is the Wilson way so highly recommended?

It seems very timely to do. Then you still need to FL or NK.

So, if I had an extra brand-new Lyman Brass-Smith Ideal Press just laying around this would work with the Lee Universal decapping die? Then use that as a dedicated decapping station.

I have a Frankford deprime tool. BUT, a Uncle Arther says too many and I'm gonna hurt ya. So I got a Lee and a Lyman decapper. One for 22-up, the other set up for 17/20 cal.
Tried a Redding decap set, but sent it back, Missing the pin on the large and the 17/20 rod was bent. Poor design IMO.

So, if I had
If you did, then, YES
Just use the small flash hole pin for everything. No need to change.
What is it .057 vs .080? I can’t recall.
Never a big Lee buyer but this then led to their cast iron press that even does 50 BMG. Not that I reload that but this Less press is one of the strongest best designed presses I’ve ever seen or have. And I have 7 presses mounted, 4 not mounted, so I guess I’m a press junkie!
Just like some , the quality of the finished cartridge has nothing to do with the press.
A real Hollywood Senior is serious also, but an authentic one is nearly impossible to find. Too many knockoffs.

You must be referring to the Wilson decap punch as opposed to their inline neck sizer ? The latter allows you to instal a bushing so you can neck size and decap in one go.
