Konus Pro?

I work at a store called Gander Mountain, which is basically a Bass Pro Shops with more guns, Depending on the state your in you may have no idea what a Gander Mountain is, but some of you might. Anyways we started carrying scopes by Konus Pro and they offer a 6-24x50 mm etched mil dot for like 200 dollars. The rep says he can get me one for 50 bucks, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever even heard of these, cause I haven't, and even though its only 50 dollars, id rather not waste it if its not worth it, any opinions?

$200 sounds awfully cheap for a 24x scope. How does the glass look.
Clear and bright or blurry and dingy?
For $50.00 you really can't go wrong.

The Konus brand spotting scopes are pretty impressive for the price. I have compared them side by side with my Kowa and it really is amazing that they sell for what they do. The scope itself isnt as "sturdy" though, and probably not as watertight.

Now, if you are talking a rifle scope, which I am assuming your are, for $50, I will take one and test it out and give ya a report. Seriuosly, if you can get one and send it to me, I will send ya the $$. Like Twud says, for $50, you cant go wrong. Worst case, one of my 22s will get a $50 scope! :-)

I have been Using a Konus Rifle scope now for 12 months and it seems to be working fins is quite clear and yes i bought it from your side of the pond on Ebay and delivered was less than $200 thought at that price if it was anywhere near as good as the spotting scopes would be fine on my 22 but has been residing on my Sako 75 6mmPPC and even tho i had to shoot it on 6X in a recent comp it was very clear and responds were to windage and elevation.
They are made in PRC Peoples Republic of China like all the scopes flooding the market at present.

Well I have emailed the sales rep to see about getting one from him. Since I sell them he's supposed to give me a deal. it is an etched mil dot but im wondering how much internal adjustment it could possibly have. I was thinking of just saving up for one of those Super Snipers, they seem like an excellent deal and get really good reviews, plus the used ones on ebay seem to be going for just about the same price as the new ones, so I can re sell it later

He is willing to sell me one for 72 dollars including shipping, they retail for 199.99. I might get one and try it out just to shoot a few times before deciding if i am getting a more expensive scope. I can get more than one however and he seemed fine with me ordering them for you all to test if you wanted. Let me know
