Konus Invicible 5-50x60

Hello,

I am looking at the Konus Invincible for a first benchrest scope for my granddaughter. I recently introduced her to benchrest shooting. I am currently building her a 6bra and have gone slightly over my budget on the initial build. I want to get her behind the rifle asap before the heat of summer hits (southwest AZ). I haven't found much info on this scope other than specs. This would be entry level with a planned upgrade in the future. Thoughts?

Thanks

My 2cents, run away as fast as you can from Konus. I had two of there top of the line Pro Series and both went back twice because they wouldn't zero at a 100yds. They just sent me a new one that was same as the ones I sent in, same problem on both, ran out of elevation adjustment on a zero MOA bases.

Check around for a used Sightron, or a Arken gen2 7x35, I have two and for the price new are very clear and no problems yet, I also have two Golden Eagles whixh are great. Good luck and good shooting to the granddaughter.

Concur. I have a NF BR 12-42x56 you can try out. I'm just east of you and I'm in Yuma at least weekly.

Used on this forum they're not much more than what you're looking at and punch WAY above their weight class. Dm me.

Update, I decided I would take a chance and try out the Konus Invincible 5-50x. I was able to get the scope for $640 delivered, insured and a 30day money back guarantee. I was also able to take it out and shoot with it. So this is on a brand new built 6bra. I put 30 rounds through it yesterday. Full cloud cover and also at sunrise. Not the best light conditions. sighted in at 600yrds, was able to focus on target and make consistent elevation/ windage adjustments to zero in on the 3" x-ring. I was also able to achieve a couple of 5 shot groups just under 3" during my break-in process. I compared this against my other rifle which has a Sightron Siii ED fch 45 x 45. I found that the Konus at above 35x power lost a little color saturation compared to the Sightron. Clarity was fine ( I could still see target rings and the X edge definition). By color saturation I mean the black on the target is a little lighter colored than the Sightron. I know time will tell how it tracks and holds. One more thing, the cross hairs are similar in size to the sightron and the floating center dot is small enough that it didn't completely cover the X. I will keep updating. For now I am very please with this scope.

I know not in the same class as the Konus you purchased but I've had great luck with three Konus 1.5-6x42 or 44 on coyote hunting rifles, very clear and reliable with German #4s

There's a leupold 45 X in classifieds today

Update. I was able to put my granddaughter behind the rifle this weekend. Shot at 600 & 1000yrds. Scope still tracking and holding zero. So far the scope has performed without any issues. Clarity at 1k at 50x was better than I expected. Target rings and X where defined. Have 90 rounds on it to date
