I have an interesting idea that I just wanted to run past you guys on here to see what you think. I am having a FT/R rifle built on a savage dual port target action. The gun will be long, with a 30in barrel it will be hard to find a case that fits. My plan is to remove the barreled action from the stock and transport it in a case that way. So, here comes my idea. What if I had 3 new action screws made that had large (1in) diameter knurled heads instead of the allen head screws? That way I could take down and reassemble the the barreled action and stock without any tools. Let me know what you guys think!
