Kelby's New Trigger

Has anyone bought one yet that can post a picture and do an evaluation... Would you buy one now or wait a couple of months to be sure all of the kinks have been worked out?

I saw one at Visalia a while back and the workmanship was outstanding. I don't think that there are any bugs to work out. There has been some discussion of the subject on Benchrest Central's Benchrest Board, where I believe it was Jim Kelbly that wrote that he would post pictures and a drawing,I presume that the latter will be to show how it works.) this week. You might want to keep an eye out. I have seen a drawing and it is an interesting design, that has been well thought out. BTW the housing is one piece of steel, no side plates. Later versions are supposed to be available with a safety. I haven't heard anything about a bolt release. The price is $250. I believe that it is supposed to go down to and honest one ounce.

Kelbly Triggers
I own 4 Jewell triggers. They have all served me well. The Kelbly trigger is not a break through in triggers. Good BR triggers have been good for a long time. Some are the Hart, Burns, Remington, Jewell, Shilen and other Remington conversions. Kelbly triggers will take it's place among these. Kelbly only puts out quality products their trigger will be widely accepted. As far as Jewell triggers I don't buy the comments that Jewell triggers aren't as good as before.
Most of the winning in the last 15 years that I know of came with Jewell triggers with some Remington conversions thrown in.

I have one of Kelbly,s trigger, in a bat action installed by Kelby,s. IMHO it is far superior to any thing on the market today. It breaks clean and crisp every time. You can listen to the sound of the firing pin when you pull the trigger hitting the bolt and it it is the same everytime. I think they will be availble very soon. So if you are wondering should i buy one don,t hesitate. You will not be disapointed at all. So how did i get one. By the stroke of luck. I think in the future they will offer one with a safety. the will fit Remington type actions. Kelbly,s are some of the best people in bechrest to deal with. Mine was set at 2 ozs. but it breaks like about 1/2 oz. Thanks John
