Kelby vs borden

Okay, Ive read way to much on these two actions and just can't quite decide. The kelby actions I gather are great for swapping barrels as a gunsmith really doesn't need the action to headspace as they all are exactly the same. Or so I've read. The bordens seem to be highly regarded for smooth operation and both have the accuracy potential/customer service thing down. I have decided on a 6x47lapua repeater project and have the components other than the barreled action. Stock is ready for a 700 clone and is a chassis type setup so inlet shouldn't be an issue with either, correct? Was going with the borden but saw the 15% off kelby sale and that would buy some bullets for sure.

I don't think you would be upset or wrong with either of those actions. I personally like Kelbly, and they are a pleasure to deal with. I have an Panda F-class and a Panda Big Bore action from Kelbly. My friend has an Atlas and he loves it. I have heard nothing but stellar remarks about Borden actions and the people building them.

Maybe my next build will have to be a Borden. Well, you know you have to try them all for research.

The other thing about the borden is that you are able to swap out your panda barrels with the addition of a spacer... If you go with the BRMXD. This give you a lot of flexibility.

As far as head spacing - all of the Borden's I have had come through the business have head spaced within a .0005 of each other so you can rest easy there.

As Alex mentioned the timing is superb on the bordens.

I only want to add this to the post . The point look up time of actions.

I sent a Barnard Model P to a Barrel maker and now Action maker in Colorado .
He informed me that they tested my Action with his partner. The end result of there test was, the Barnard had the
fasts look up time.
This at the time meant nothing to me. Today and 3 Actions latter with the trigger they have I am sold.
