Yesterday, Jim Kelbly and his son stopped by Bayou Rifles during the monthly Mid-range (600 yard) match. They put up a stand with, I believe 8 March scope so that folks could look through them at the targets 600 yards away. They also had a display of about 7 rifles, all Kelbly actions, of course, fitted with various stocks, scopes and barrels.
They answered a lot of questions for the folks who stopped by at intervals during the match. As you can guess, of the 42 shooters who were there, several had Kelbly actions in their rifles and a few had March scopes. Jim was definitely in friendly territory.
The Kelblys stayed for the duration of the match and we guided their genormous travel trailer and truck safely out of the range and Jim showed that he was as adept at driving the rig as he is making great actions and rifles.
Jim, thanks for stopping by and affording us the opportunity of looking through the scopes and fondling some nice rifles. I heard a lot of good comments from various shooters and we all wish you safe travels.
Thanks again and see you at some match in the future.
