Kelbly Golden Bear anyone?

Always liked the idea of the Stiller SS Viper , but have never had a Kelbly, so was wondering if anyone had one with pics of a build they had done? Not sure I like the gold one, it might need curb feelers to look right, so black nitride maybe? Let's see what you got. S/F Kevin

Bart - that looks awesome. I started my LR shooting in 2017 with a Kelbly Atlas R/R action in a Kelbly 1M stock with a no turn 6mm Dasher. Given the knowledge and other equipment I had at the time for LR shooting I shot way better than I had any right to. The Kelblys make great equipment and are A+ people. I am looking forward to seeing how this set up does for you.

I have both - Stiller SS and Golden Bear. Two different animals.
The GB is much lighter. Footprint is smaller than Panda.
Still a very good flat bottom action that parts are interchangeable with other Kelbly actions.

which panda do you speak of..
golden bear is 1.4" across and flat
8.5 " long

Cut down a maple hanging dangerously over the creek on my property. Took my chainsaw and cut a chunk out of it. Let it dry in the attic over the summer last year. Kept trimming on it and pinned a Golden Bear in it. Glued and screwed with pillars seen. Stock is 39 3/4" long
Stock weighs 36 ounces. Loaded with carbon fiber internally.

James Lederer 26" hv with tuner
13.2 lbs as sits.
Nothing left the property until finished as seen.
I cut the lug off this action. I think the action could be overkill with smaller cartridges meaning the length of barrel thats commonly needed. I think it could be overkill that i have here. Just being honest setting pride aside. Dont get me wrong its no less accurate than all the pandas i have. If its going to have its merit i think its in long range where longer and heftier barrels are used with mightier explosions that are transferred. However its been proven that even 1.385 round actions suffice plenty. I guess if it gives you added confidence and makes you feel good then maybe you will shoot better.

A .050 fill in with your favorite compound on each side is the only thing needed for the Golden bear.
On the stock i posted i cut it out for an f class panda but then decided to use the Golden Bear. As you can see - it worked well and was easy. Everything fit perfectly
Here is a pic before i dropped it in with a pic of the fit afterwards.
