I'm fairly new to reloading and there are a few different things that elude me about the process. I'm hoping some of the experts here can help.
1. My rifle 6.5 x 284, I bought 100 pieces of new Norma brass, terrible compared to Lapua), my first task was to use the K&M expanderion die, then turn the necks using a K&M neck turner. I ran the brass back through my FL sizer,is this proper procedure?). I can feel that some of bullets are seated with minimal pressure, meaning I can't pull them out with my fingers but not any tighter than that. Some of the others are a little tighter, not much but they are tighter, I know this can affect performance so how can I get this consistent?.
2. The term "bumping the shoulders back" this refers to the decrease in OAL of the shell after resizing correct?
3. Does moving the expander ball up or down in the die affect how the case is sized? My understanding is that by moving the die up and down in the press sizes the case and the ball sizes the neck, is that correct?
