Kauger, Kelbly, or Mack bros

So I was going to do a 20 practical on a semi auto platform this winter but I think I’d enjoy it more in a bolt.

I have a Kauger BRii Action and absolutely love it. Light bolt lift, and very smooth, absolutely no binding.

I’m thinking of getting another kauger but a repeater instead of single shot, but have always liked the looks of the Kelbly, and the Mack bro’s evo ii is just so dang cheap too.

Functionality wise, are you gaining anything with a Kelbly Atlas Tac or a Mac bro’s evo ii over a kauger CRS?

I’m reading the bolt lift on the Mack bro’s is somewhat heavy? This will be used for target and varmint.

Thanks fellas.

Don’t no about the rest, but the Kauger you can change the bolt face,.
I’ve never changed a cartridge after I put a barrel on it, but that’s a definite plus. I don’t know why I’m doubting the Kauger, they are fantastic, and I really like dealing with Adam Over there. I guess I was looking for someone to sway me, but I don’t know if that will happen.

Is Kauger a build to order?
I would say yes? Not sure though. Due to them having so many different options. That being said, I was told the lead time was 2-3 weeks. Adam sent me an email after 1 week that it was shipping. Real nice people to deal with. I asked an annoying amount of questions, and they answered back quick every time.

My girl and I have shot the Evo. I like the Kauger better. Although all are good.

My only complaint with the EVO is bolt lift is heavier than my Bat and Stoles. Having said that I ordered 3 EVO's last week.

Here's why. The spring is very short. The spring rate is high, even though the spring pressure (checked at break away) isn't excessive. -Al

Another vote for Kauger....highly recommend it, I had a benchrest rifle build by Alex Wheeler on the new BR III action and it shoots lights out !!
I had Alex chamber a 30br for me on my BRII. Having Randy Owens do up a stock for me for it. Can’t wait to shoot it.
