The cap with a K on it on the left side of my 1050 MOAK came off. It has a post with an red o ring on it. It snaps back in place but won't stay. Looks like it was originally lightly glued on but not sure...Looking for suggestions.

Are you sure? Don't want to void warranty or screw something up.Glue
They do but having trouble getting a timely answerdo they not have a customer service number?
That might be right but there is always the issue of potentially voiding your warranty. As a follow up, Swarovski U.S. has now contacted Swarovski Austria to see what the best solution is. Hopefully it will be something I can do and not have to send it back in - a little glue I can handle.I have read about in WWII they fixed leaks in sibmarines by driving wooden wedges into the leak. If it works.....it works.

I'm thinking that you are exactly right. I am going to wait for a bit before I glue anything but in the mean time I have put double sided tape on the cap and secured it that way. Might be a permanent solution but we'll see. Thanks again for the thoughtful reply. Is the residue around the radius of the inside of the cap brittle, squishy, or spreads (glue, silicone, or grease)?
Wild speculation at this time: they expected the O-ring in the spindle to be enough to close it while providing access for service etc. They added a /little/ bit of glue to keep it on.
I might suggest double sided tape in the end. WAIT for the service guys and more discussion if they never get back, but a lot of devices (displays on things that are water resistant even!) are just held on with double sided tapes. I bet this can be secured enough — without preventing future disassembly — with good tapes.
