Just sharing

If you get miss fires with lapua palma virgin brass lot no P00990001/0030117 check base to shoulder datum as I have had several and thought it was a bad batch of br4 primers but after measuring cases the ones that did not fire they are 6 thou under the average.

lots of brass comes short to allow for shorter chambers. id bet your chamber is on the long side of the tolerance which means you need to get creative with fireforming (jammed bullets) you cant take anything for granted on new cases until theyve been fired at least once

Creating a false shoulder to headspace off, or jamming the bullets will resolve such issues.
But at the same time, dimensional variation in new brass can effect case capacity, hence volume consistency, which is what I consider poor quality control. Myself would cut loose of such a lot and hunt for better.

Thanks for the heads-up on the lot number !.!.!

Dusty,
I would say my chamber is not no proof other than the bolt has resistance on closing.
The cases that didnt fire I fired today by jamming the projectiles I have 200 of this lot number so far 5 cases have missed fired.
I have got five barrels with the same chamber this has been the first time this has ever happend im going to measure the rest after I deal with this belter toothache I have.

Cheers Trev

Yes jamming fixed them I us fire all my virgin brass into the lands but was trying seating depths but they shot well missed a possible due to the miss fire in that round load had zip vertical at 700 yards.
