I am in need of a part for a brownbess . Did you hear our supreme court just ended our chances I want everyone to know we are going to be in for the fight of our lives.Whether you are right or left or in the middle we are all in this together and must stand together. I am sickened by this news but I guess we couldnt see this coming. Back to guns now. Does anyone know where to get antique gun parts?

I don't know about antique since I have no interest in such but Numrich carries parts for many out of production modern rifles. Perhaps give them a view.

Try Dixon's muzzleloaders in Kempton PA. I think they can even make rifled barrels the old fashioned way... one scratch at a time if you're not in a hurry.

Dixie Gun Works, and Track of the Wolf are the two best sources. I spent one afternoon shootin the Bess , she's a tough nut to crack. I think the hammer spring was made from model T springs.

I dont think I would ever attempt to shoot it unless an expert on this style of rifle looked at it first. To me the barrel looks thin and the thought of wearing a rifle on my face just doesnt turn me on.

I have no real idea what the OP is saying. I can find no recent adverse ruling by the court, pertaining to firearms. Course I am old as dirt and a little slow at times.
