Hopefully he's having an anterior approach. Minimally invasive, tissue sparing...the patient's are up walking around with PT the same day.

Anterior procedure being done. In good hands as the wife in an NP, and keeps the docs in line. I asked for a discount if I machined my own replacement hips parts and the doc was not amused . Lmao!!

Are you doing metal, ceramic, or plastic. I was told a lot depend on age. My doc initially was going to do a ceramic ball but was afraid I might jump from a high up such as out of the back of a truck and break the ceramic from high impact. I broke my hip in a auto accident in '97 when I was 17 and it set up sever arthritis.

Mine was Anterior as well. In some areas there are Doc's who have not switched. My Doc had attended special training for the Anterior method. Mine was done 9/27/11 and has been perfect. Best of luck.

I believe we are going with the high dollar titanium package as I tend to be high mileage . Thanks for all the well wishes guys. Much appreciated.
