Juneke machine

Is there someone out there that can school me on the Juneke machine? I see it mentioned on a regular basis in regards to spinning the bullets. However I've only seen a picture of one and don't know of anyone that actually uses this equipment.
Thanks in advance for the education,
Lloyd

Lloyd, Yes i use one PM me on what you want to know……… jim

interesting that you use one of these, Jim.

have you ever done any testing to see if the bullets that you culled have a different POI?

I almost bought one of these a few years ago... that was the last one I've ever seen for sale, so I'm knoda thinking I should have pulled the trigger :( I'm not setting records like you are, but I like playing with things like that :)

It will weed out the flyers and the more uniform the bullets are they will shoot smaller. Yes they get tested and that is only part of the puzzle…….. jim

From an engineering point of view, this could be the most important measurement you can make on a bullet.

Also, from a practical point of view, this is a $200 machine, not an $1800 or $3000 machine. It uses 1970's technology and for the price, it should read out brass thickness, bullet cladding thickness and SD, avg and ES. All very doable with modern $1.00 digital signal processors.
I am in the process of designing one for my personal use and it will be VERY simple with manual bullet spinning and LED bar graph read-out. But, as I have many irons in the fire plus really good at procrastinating, it may be a while!

I would hope you could figure it out before there aren't any more bullets to check…….. If Berger doubles the out put there will a huge need for a Juneke machine…….. jim

Exactly the first thought I had when I read that bulletin, couple that with their die maker retiring, I hope it won't be the case but I can't help but think quality is going to slip quite a bit.

I already had an email from a guy where the pressure ring on a Berger 105H is smaller than the shank measurement so i checked a lot and found this lot they were the same an other lot the pressure ring was almost .244. Let the games begin………. production up, quality down, but what i see now is bad, i hope it gets better…… jim

I have used a Juenke for many years on brass and bullets. I actually met Vern Juenke, one of the smartest gunsmiths ever. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
