Joypod

I am interested to hear from guys that own the joypod and how you think they would perform in an ELR role. Rifles will be heavy, up to 40lbs. Torque will be far more. Can the coaxial unit handle this? When adjusted to hold a heavier rifle will it still be smooth? Lastly what kind of adjustment (moa) range does this thing have? Are there any issues with these I should be aware of?
Thanks!

Coarse adustment is is about 5". The joystick itself is supposed to have approx 20 MOA vertical and 25 MOA horizontal. Seb claims 150 lb capacity.

I saw something where someone counter weighted the joystick to make the adjustment smoother with a heavier rifle. I think it was an ELR King Of 2 Mile type rig.

I remember Seb standing on a joypod in a photo. Seb is a lean guy mind you. But still it's a man balanced on it.

I do think it will stay smooth. I wonder if the pod will hold your elevation with the rifle weight without holding the joy stick. I don't hold when I take the shot. I suspect it will hold steady.

Just a note from the maker:
1). I would say that Joypod has less than 20 MOA vertical travel, effectively. It is not comfort and not precise to adjust the joystick handle at its highest position.
2). I try to keep the weight of the Joypod to be minimum (to make weight) as this bipod is primarily designed for F-Class shooting.
3). Standard Joypod can handle rifle up to about 30 lbs without a counterweight. With additional and proper counterweight Joypod can handle rifle as heavy as 80 lbs. For about 40 lbs gun the counterweight would be just about 1.5 lbs.
4). Torque or gun twist should be no problem the heavier the rifle. The cant lock will not move, too.
5). The function of the counterweight is to counter/self-balance the weight of the rifle. It will hold your rifle/elevation without holding the joystick.
6). I would recommend to use a slick pad under the feet of the bipod for heavy rifle.
