When using a joy pod rest do you take your hand off the Joy stick after making adjustments and before pulling the trigger?

On heavier recoiling calibers, I feel like the recoil would occasionally tweak the joy stick and change my point of aim. I now keep my hand planted in the same spot, but I completely loosen my grip and make sure that my hand is not in a position that will bump or move the joy stick as it recoils back. I didn't do much testing on this, as it was easier to just practice keeping my hand out of the way. I also try to have my desired point of aim be in the center of the joy pods horizontal & vertical range.
