You read that right. You can join the NRA right now for $25 bucks and then get a card entitling you to $25.00 worth of merchandise. Sweet deal eh?

When you pay $25.00 for a 1-year NRA membership ($10.00 off normal price), you get a Bass Pro Shops Gift Card worth $25.00. For every dollar you spend on your NRA membership, you get a dollar’s worth of Bass Pro merchandise. So guys, now you can join the NRA with a ZERO net cost. Can't complain about that!

Great Deal!
I did this a year ago, when they had the same promotion. Spread the word, this is as close to getting a free membership as it gets.

I'm a little disappointed! I joined the NRA just before Christmas, 5 year membership no less, and I didn't get any kind of promotion! Not to mention I gave another $35.00 for training in the wake of the Connecticut school shootings. What gives?

The promo page doesn't say anything, one way or another, about renewals. However, the data entry form includes a field for NRA membership number, suggesting this MIGHT apply to renewals. No guarantees...

Suggest you call for more info: Call 1-877-NRA-2000

Ask about renewal via the BASS PRO SHOPS Promotion

When I filled out the form today it asked if I made a membership number, so to the best of my knowledge the promotion is for new, and exsisting members.

Here is a deal on lifetime membership. Copied from Savage Arms-Official FB page from Gun Talk FB page.
Great news from Tom about the NRA Life Membership discount! "The special discount for the NRA Life Membership is now working. Special toll-free number just for friends of Tom Gresham. No waiting on hold. No need to give my life member number. $300 for a life membership. Just call 1-888-678-7894.

A while back the NRA offered a gift life membership of $300 being done through current life, endowment or patron members for their family and friends. I no longer see this offer available. I tried hard to get others to join and sadly with no success. I posted the info on this forum as well. I hope other life members here looked in on this and were successful with new life memberships.

This is why I've been turned off by the NRA. Sweet deal? Absolutely! But I want to be a member where they take my membership money and use it to defend my rights. Not return to me, 20,30+$ whatever, in junk mail and renewal letter after letter starting 6 months before my membership is due. Then call me on the phone and talk to me in the same manner as any other telemarketer. Don't get me all wrong, I understand NRA does a lot of good, and I do support them through Midway USA's NRA Round-Up. It's hard for me, because I want to support them, but at the same time, I feel their wasting the money. Recently, I joined Gun Owners Of America after a year of receiving their news letter through e-mail. I learned of them after looking for an alternative to the NRA. In that years time, sure at the end of their news letters they asked for donations, but left it there. They had my e-mail, but they never "wasted" any time, or man hours, or gimmicks to try and "sell" me a membership. As of yet, I haven't received any special gift for joining. Just someone in Washington standing up and saying this is bull$#!? and we won't go down, lying down. If it takes a "special offer" to get a man to stand and be counted, then we're really in bad shape. :-[

If you're an NRA member, I think that is a good thing and I'm not criticising you. But I feel the way I feel, and that's the way it is.

Just renewed last week for the year but couldn't pass up the Lifetime Membership for $300. The best that I had seen before was $600.

I'll probably get two magazines all year...

I doubt the NRA is paying full price for Bass Pro cards. More like Bass Pro saw the opporutnity to get some business by giving the NRA cards for free knowing the membership was about to grow with all the latest idiocy. I renewed to get a card, I drive right past a Bass Pro daily. Rarely do I go to the local Bass Pro or Cabelas and drop only $25 and they know it. Worth it to them to get us in the story or order online and worth it to be seen as a supporter of the people they count of to keep them in business and support their rights. A few years ago the NRA was taking free memberships just to get the numbers of members up. I signed up all my family including all the liberals ;D I even sent the Vegetarian ones the American Hunter Magazine. .

I do agree though that the NRA does to much trolling for more and wasteful bulk/trash mail. Really though people when push comes to shove it won't be the NRA preserving our gun rights, it will be done by the gun owner via their guns.

After more thought I doubt NRA pays little if anything. Bass Pro knows who it's customers are, and simply probably "sponsor" the cards instead of having one extra sale or something to that effect. Face it, it gets you in the store and you probably buy more, and they at least break even. And they need to sell guns, so it's all to their advantage. Good for them, and the NRA. Still feel some disgust towards the NRA for their "marketing tactics" and waste. But I'm considering renewing my membership. May contact them, and let them keep their magazines, and other "offers". Don't want to see my money come back to me. Want to see it go to the cause.

Wondering if anyone has done this lately? Just signed up and no mention of a $25 gift card?

Looks like the promo is over. I clicked on the link I provided and it shows 1 year membership for $25.00. I suspect the promo ran until a certain limit was reached, so Bass Pro did not have an open-ended obligation. You snooze, you lose.

That's interesting a fellow mentioned they offered him a lifetime membership for $300.00 and when I joined, just before Christmas, they offered it to me for $600.00! They also claimed it was a $400.00 savings over the normal $1,000.00 to become a liftime member. This all isn't adding up?
