JLK triggering of LabRadar on a 22RF heavy gun?

Did anyone tried to trigger the LabRadar shooting an 18 lbs 22RF F-Class rifle using the JLK manual trigger?
Is there enough recoil to trigger the LabRadar?

I haven’t been able to get the JKL trigger to work on either of my rimfire rifles with any consistency. They are both being shot off a bipod prone and are in the 14-15 pound range. I tried several different attachment methods / locations for the trigger.

Thx jbell. That is what I have been afraid of by looking at some JLK videos. I have just found and ordered an Air Gun Trigger made for the LabRadar. It is acoustic, not recoil driven. I should get it by Monday and will test it and post the results Tuesday.

TEST RESULTS:
INTERNAL TRIGGER

Thanks whatsupdoc for the lead. I have confirmed that your suggested setup, Pistol speed & Doppler triggering worked 100%. Shot 3 targets,
with the following results:

Target 1, blowoff of clean rifle, 10 shots
avg speed 1037 fps,
ext. spread 31 fps,
std. div. 12.4 fps

Target 2, 20 shots
avg speed 1042 fps,
ext. spread 29 fps
std. div. 8.9 fps

Target 3, 10 shots
avg speed 1044 fps,
ext. spread 28 fps
std. div. 9.1 fps

EXTERNAL TRIGGER

Purchased Air Gun Trigger from LabRardar. Tested on 1 Target, 10 shots, as follows:

Target 4, 10 shots
avg speed 1043 fps,
ext. spread 29 fps
std. div. 10.8 fps

CONCLUSIONS:
Testing was done on Lapua Midas+ ammo, lot # 288554/704713.
Both the internal Doppler trigger and the Air Gun External trigger came up with the same results, 1043 fps.
The speed of this lot is supposed to be 328 x 3.281 = 1076 fps. from a 26 inch long barrel.
My barrel length is 24 inches. the average speed of my testing is 1043 fps. This is 33 fps less than the theoretical lot speed.
The theoretical Lapua speed is perhaps muzzle speed, while the Doppler and the air gun triggering is perhaps 5 feet in front of the muzzle?
Or some other reasons, like calibration?

Check the distance from barrel setting as this will affect your numbers.

Re-did measurements with 1st distance at 5 yards, 2nd at 10 yards, etc uptimes to 5th at 48 yards, no difference. Average speed came up at 1045 fps.

I had the same problem with the JKL trigger on my 13 pound Bergara B14R. I even attached it to the scope ring with servo tape with no good result. I bought the original Piet trigger. It has a magnet inside to mount it. I have not tried it yet.

I will try the doppler setting. I have always used the pistol velocity setting range with .22LR.

I tried the doppler setting today with my Bergara B14R .22LR. It would not pick up anything.

I then tried the Piet Original trigger with the magnet inside for mounting. I tried a few locations for the trigger before finding one that worked. I shot eight five shot groups without missing a shot or having any false triggers. The settings I used are: Pistol, Trigger, Trigger Level 2, offset 6".

Here is where it worked really well:
