I recently tried JLK's 308 190 VLD's in my 308 F-T/R rifle. After initial powder weight tests, looking for pressure signs, I loaded them at various degrees at and into the lands. Although accuracy was good, it wasn't sub 1/2 MOA. I then tried jumping them in 10 thous increments out to a 40 thous jump. Magic appeared at a 20 thous jump, groups ran in the low 4's and vertical was very small.
This load was consistent having been shot at 200, 300 and 600 yards.
Powder was Varget and BR2 primers. I haven't seen much on JLK bullets on the forum, so I thought I'd put this out as food for thought.
Thanks,
Tony
