Jewell or Timney

What would be the best trigger for long range hunting rifle. The gun is a 7mm winchester laredo. Jewell or Timney.

Jewell is the only trigger out there far as I am concerned. I have several rifles with Jewell triggers and hunt with the all.

I bought a used Jewell for one of my M70s a few years ago after I'd had a Dasher bbl. installed - coincidentally, I had it in a surplus Laredo stock at the time. There were a few areas of the stock & triggerguard that required some inletting/filing to get the Jewell to fit, but it was worth the effort.

I know the tactical guys perfer Timney's over Jewell because of their opinion that the Jewells will choke in dirty conditions, but I've got Jewell HVRs on several of my tactical, prone & hunting rifles, and have yet to experience any problems with any of them. While I've shot in some pretty windy/gritty conditions out at Raton & Byers, I don't crawl around in the mud with my rifles, so take my experience/opinion FWIW.
