jewel trigger

will jewel do repair work on their trigger i have one that is not acting like it supposed to 700 REM long mag action when it is cocked and you pull the trigger the trigger is solid don't move then you touch the bolt as to open the hammer falls i have sprayed out with brake cleaner aired out and then used lighter fuel then adjusted as on jewel page don't fall right but when i shorten up sear engage about 1/4 turn i could not get it to act up yet. could i have a rough sear and i have tried with 2 different firing pins and same results THANKS

If you're somewhat adventurous and a bit handy, I would disassemble, clean and polish it. Once you get past the initial pucker factor, it isn't that bad. Take your time, take pictures with your cell phone as you disassemble it.

If you still have a problem you can send it to Jewell for a rebuild, and all you're out is a little time.

Try turning the overtravel screw in a little. Look at the instruction sheet that came with trigger for adj. instructions.
 
will took it apart made lot of pictures cleaned it up did not see no big problems put it back together works smooth like it should THANKS GREATLY for the help

I keep a can of lighter fluid in my range bag for field cleaning. It's well worth it. Just flood the triggers a couple times and back in business. If it's just dirt.
