Jard Triggers

I have a Cooper model 22 and I am thinking about buying a Jard trigger and wanted some feedback on if they are good or not???????? I know they are not a Jewell trigger. Nobody makes a better trigger than Jewell but how does the Jard compare??????

Skeet,

I have a jard trigger on a Ruger No. 1 and am very pleased with the upgrade. Good instructions, easy to follow and works superbly, as good as a high end bolt action trigger, ie you don't consciously feel you're squeeezing the trigger, the shot just goes. By the way, I have a Jewell on a custom bolt action. Sorry I can't help with the Cooper model.

Richard.

Skeet,

I have owned more of these than I can remember.

All but one Cooper have moved on,for various reasons.

I have never had any trouble with any trigger I got from Jard, like you said, they are no Jewell but I like mine.

Phil.

I have purchased several Jard triggers, based on the cost, they have been a good choice. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed

Thank you guys for the feedback. I wish Jewell still made trigger for Cooper rifles. But they don't so I will go with a 2oz Jard.

Have either of you used the Jard Remington 700 "Kit" or is your experience exclusively with the complete trigger group?

No, I haven't used a kit. It's always been the complete trigger group. Mine went on commercial 98 actions.

I have one of the "Kit" in a 700 and could not be happier it is the 7 OZ model and will break consistently at 6-7 OZ--- I also have two of the 700 model that are 2-6 OZ's and they too are very nice. I also have one installed in my "Salvage" that work at 4 oz

Good Luck

I have only used the Cooper replacement triggers from Jard.

Nothing to do with the 700 triggers.
