A friend wanted to install a Jard Match Trigger for Tikka T1X in his KRG Bravo chassis T1X. The friend contacted KRG and Jard to find out if there would be fitting issues and both companies said “we don’t know”. After installing the Jard trigger, my friend found that the safety on their Jard Match T1X trigger was not able to shift all the way into the firing position. They could see that the safety lever plate on the right side was dropping about 1/8” - 3/16” lower than the safety mechanism on the side of the Tikka factory trigger. It was bumping into some polymer on a portion of the trigger guard that sits inside the chassis, not the part of the trigger guard that protects the trigger shoe. They also found that the trigger guard was held in place by two roll pins, and it was not too difficult to detach and reattach the trigger guard. It was pretty easy for them to see that the trigger would probably work just fine if a little polymer was removed in the right spot. After they removed a little polymer, the trigger functioned perfectly with a crisp break and a consistent pull weight just under 3 oz. My friend is very happy with his new trigger.
