I had one for many years that was just as smooth as my seb with the weight up front. It did take more maintenance to keep it smooth. I sold it just last year to a friend who is very happy with it. For full discloser my friend bought one the year after I did and we could not get it to work smooth at all. Eventually he sent it back and got his money back.
