Jackie Schmidt Wins Tomball Gun Club VFS Shooter of The Year

After The Tomball Gun Club Varmint for Score Club Match Season, Jackie Schmidt came out on top for the Shooter of the Year Honors.

The Season consisted of three 100 yard Matches and two 200 yard Matches.

The winning score was 1248 points out of a possible 1250, with 87 X’s out of a possible 125. Ed Bernabeo was second for the year with a 1248 82X performance.

The Rifle I shoot the most is my old R/L Farley in a Robertson Stock.I have shot several barrels this year, one Match was won with a 30 caliber Bartlien 400 Mod in 1-18 twist, the others with a 1-18 Krieger. Both Ed and I shoot my 112 grn 30 cal bullet in front of 35.5 grns of N-130. We both use Night Force 15x55 Competition Scopes. I do the barrels for both of our Rifles.

We shoot the standard NBRSA Varmint for Score Targets. The X at 100 is a 1/16 dot in the middle of the 1/2 inch diameter 10 ring and the X at 200 is a 1/8 dot In the middle of a 1 inch 10 ring.
