I've found the load for my 357 Martini Cadet

I've found the load for my 357 Martini Cadet:

Starline brass length trimmed to 1.282 ( because about 25% were that length and I want them all the same, and only about 20% were the 1.290 spec ).

Federal No. 100 primers

LilGun 11.6gr

Speer 180 gr jacketed soft point sized to .357 ( otherwise the rounds won't chamber )

After filling with powder I fill with Puff-lon to the rim

OAL 1.75 ( This is possible because I don't have to worry about cylinder length, and the bullets have a long taper.)

At 50 yards shooting off of a rest and rear bag it shoots a slightly elongated one hole group about 1.5 bullet diameters high.

At 100 yards with the same setup it holds .5". Both groups are 5 shots.

The barrel is a re-bore of an original barrel that was shortened to 19" from the original 24". It wears a Burris 2-12 Scout scope.

And I'm a happy camper.

Thanks for asking. Here's one.

Interesting that I purchased it in an online auction as .310 Cadet. Something didn't look right so after some checking it turned out to be 357 Mag. I took it to an engraver and had it properly identified. After finding how well it can shoot I did a trigger job on it last week and took it from 8 lbs to 3 lbs. Much easier to get it to shoot consistently
