It’s no wonder the bears are so Ill tempered in this part of the country. They gotta make a living in this stuff. Got up this morning and needed to put a scope on, and sight in, one of my P-dog rifles only to find out it was snowing as hard as it could snow. We had about 2.5 inches with a foot or more in the mountains just south of the house. Ya can’t let that stop you if you live around here though. Got it all taken care of and ready for the next big varmint war.

Thank god for the moisture though, we need it bad. All rain here but snow a little higher up. Should help make spring grass.

Eased out that way last May. First couple days fly fishing were really nice, also managed to get in an hour or so thinning the gophers. And then...wintertime for four straight days. Ranchers were happy about that but it limited my activities to “keeping the stove warm” and photographing.
