It’s nice remember old friends and times

I remember growing up with the old weekly show, "American Sportsman", with Curt Gowdy.

It usually featured celebs of the day on guided hunting and fishing trips that most of us kids dreamed about experiencing. They even had a few episodes in my area, which was "big taters" back in the day for waterfowl hunting. jd

Those old shows were pretty much a tutorial of how to raise kids, how to treat your neighbors, and what was important and what wasn't.

Damn, I miss those days, when a presidential election made the news for three or four months every four years, instead of 24 hours a day for every freakin day of our lives -- all year, every year. jd

The good old shows and entertainment are gone from todays society and the political world.
It is a dog eat dog way of life for so many it seems. No one can say a good word about anyone or anything, they just have to spout off and slam everyone and everything.

It's important to remember "you can't make people to order". While you may not agree with everything Andy did, he provided a lot of entertainment for many. It you hate, you lose, also remember the Glen Campbell song "Try a Little Kindness"
Not sure how you construed my post as hating Andy, but I deleted it anyway so as to not offend the "feeling joy" crowd.

That looks like it may be a paper hull Super X he's looking at.

And LHSmith, don't you worry about being misconstrued. There's always room for ya in our"feeling joy" crowd, or in our sister group "Grinchy old fart" crowd. jd

"It's nice to remember old friends and old times" It is, it's wonderful. I'm up to my backside writing a 'computer ap' which I know nothing about, I marked my 'on button' with white paint stick so I could find it. When completed the app will make the memories into future adventures. The old places will be like they were, but the elk and the fish will be bigger, fewer people around and the horses will be perfect. And we will have a camp cook that can cook. I may need some help, lots of difficult variables.
