the 300NMI project is heading down the home stretch. Wildcats posted a picture of a gorgeous read walnut CERUS stock for sale here. It languished in the for sale ads for several months, but it kept gnawing at me. Not cheap, but I convinced Will to take two payments.
Then I started accumulating the components. Bix'nAndy single stage trigger, three MDT 5-round magazines to fit the NMI, a Bartlein 31" HV contour 1:9" twist. A member here had 300 new NM cases, and a set of dies. Bartlein was several months out, but hooked me up with Southern Precision Rifles who they had shipped the exact barrel I wanted to. JCR fit the adjustable butt plate and cheekpiece for me and shipped it to Bc'z, who strongly suggested I send it to Alex Sitman as soon as I had Spartan Rifles in the next town over FCH the barrel, thread the end for a brake/suppressor, and fit the trigger. Batt thinks I will have my action in hand before Christmas. A couple weeks at Spartan, home to several 1000yd/1 mile/2400yd shooters. Four weeks at Sitman's shop, then to Bc'z for clear coating, and finally home to me.
By time Spring 2026 arrives I should be shooting. My thanks to many of you here who have hit the "like emoji", and a few who mistakenly it the "Smiley Face" one by mistake! the past six-plus months.
thanks again to all of you,
Rich
