ISO a piece of steel

I figure this forum is the best place to ask, rather than the classifieds, but I need a piece of 3/8" thick 2"x5" stainless is preferred, but plain steel will work. Looking to add a little weight to the butt of my new stock without drilling and filling with lead. I figure this should add roughly 1lb and I have enough room to not worry about LOP being an issue.

Of course I'm willing to pay, but I don't need a whole square foot like I keep finding online.

I've been looking, but the issue i run into is I leave for work at 0730 and don't get home until 1800, so getting to a shop when they're open is difficult for me.

Stock does not have a butt plate of any kind currently, so I would still need something if I drill it. I just found out a friend of mine has a bunch of ballast lead shot, so I may go that route and just use a thin piece for a butt plate.

Ive got a 3/8 piece of cold rolled mabie 2 1/2 x 10- Ive ground on it a little. Could send it for shipping if you need it

Curious - you said you don’t want to drill and fill with lead so how were you going to place that piece of bar stock in the butt without drilling?
