Is Winchester CRF stock inlet the same as a push feed?

I was wondering if the inlet for the Winchester Model 70 controlled round push feed would fit a Model 70 push feed action? If it will I could use the new 1 piece bottom metal instead of the 2 piece factory bottom metal. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks Dave. So I should be able to get a Model 70 controlled round push feed stock and put my Model 70 post 64 push feed action in it and use the 1 piece bottom metal no problem.

It depends on the caliber. Push feeds came in two lengths, standard and short. The guard screw spacing is different on them. As I understand it, with the re-issue of controlled round feed actions and also the short magnums they are yet different again. ALL original pre-64 actions fit the same inlet. The best way to get a definitive answer would be to contact a stock maker like Richards or McMillan.

I have been researching this and the info I got is that the push feed actions, either crpf or regular push feed, are built on a long, short or super sport action. There is no other push feed measurements that I can find other than the three listed. It looks like I can do it no problem and if a little tweaking is required I can always put it in the mill and fix it. The original pre-64 and new Classics are their own animal. The title of my post should have been CRPF instead of CRF. Thanks for the info guys.

They do come in short and long action but I assumed you would recognize the difference. Push or classic crf the respective long and short actions are the same. Wssm super short actions are of course shorter and rare.
