I've been working on a couple loads, wanted to test out two more thing, before the snow... I've been jonesing to get out and shoot a test on my 17 Hornet load, and one more go-round with a 20 Practical seating depth test. Been about a month since it was reasonably warm and not overly windy. Today I finally got what is likely the last testing trip to my shooting area this year. Soon it'll be too cold to know how my summer load will likely shoot, and the snow is probably coming. I shoot at a place I found 10 miles out of town, on the side of a logging road, which has an open patch out to 100 yards, and nobody around. But not easy to get to or use when there's snow.
And I also got notice from my landlord, after living here 13 years, I got 90 days to move! Talk about pucker factor.
Thankfully I feel confident I have a final 17 Hornet load I can work on when I'm stuck inside this winter, after I move and set up a new reloading area. The 20 practical with 32 Vmax, still needs more tweaking.
Anyone else dreading the end of the shooting season?
