I've been trying to sell my 6.5-284 prone rifle but not having any luck. So I've been doing some thinking. Is it possible to seat the 139 scenars into the 6.5-284 so they will fit in a Rem 700 SA magwell? I would have the barrel set back a minimal amount and throated for the 139's to this length if it is possible but I don't have any to play with. Reason I would do this is so I could re-stock the rifle and turn it into a tactical shooter, so I need use of the magwell. My other consideration is I would like to keep velocity up to 2900 but not sure if I would be running into pressure problems by seating them to that length. Thanks.
