Is this possible?

My question is can fire formed BRX brass be reformed to 6bra without any issues, by resizing or refire forming,if you can get it to chamber?

I agree with Matt. I made an attempt to make BRA brass from once fired Dasher brass and the were a ton of issues. Mainly when I fired them as a Bra they became very tight and extraction suffered. Follow Matt and Donovan advice and start with fresh BR brass and don't look back.

Thank you gentlemen for the replies. I thought that would be more movement than there should be for the brass also, but wanted another opinion or two.

I tried to take my fired 6br brass and form to brx they wouldn't chamber in brx, almost but couldn't close the bolt

This should of worked. Were they fired a bunch of times? Unless the BRX Had a smaller tighter chamber. Did you try annealing? Maybe your die didn't make them small enough at back end. Matt

It can be done with several steps and annealing processes. Of course the easiest way is to fire-form them with new cases new.

If you want to use your BRX brass due to a specific reason, it can be done with a little patience. If you want to go that route due to economics, send them to me and I'll do them for you at no charge.

If this reply was meant for me, thank you for the offer, very good of you. I have 100 used 6br brass from a barrel I don't use very much, so i'm going to use them. Again, thank you.

Yes, it is meant for you. Are they BR or BRX formed brass now? How many times have they been fired? I can form them back to BRA or back to BR and Hydro to BRA.

Your call.

The brass in my OP is 6brx and has been loaded 7 times, but as I say I have some 6br brass that is working OK. Thanks again.
