Is this a decent spotting scope?

I'm looking for a fair priced spotting scope to replace my cheap Simmons. It'll be used for spotting targets and watching deer and turkeys.

They also make it with an angled eye piece. Angled or straight?

Thanks, Justin

I have the angled model and it is a good scope for the money. To do better you would need to spend quite a bit more.

Save your money. That's a cheap piece of Chinese glass and does not come with the same warranty that Leupold offers its Golden Ring products. Ive looked through one before and the view was miserable to say the least. Sure to give you a migraine headache if you spend to much time on it.

If you want to buy a Chinese scope with an awesome warranty and perhaps a little better glass, go with Vortex.

If you're smart, you'll keep saving your money in a special "spotting scope fund" until you can get a top end European glass spotter and never have to buy another scope or be left wanting

That spotting scope comes with the Leupold Lifetime Warranty.

That spotting scope comes with the Leupold Lifetime Warranty.

Pretty sure it's a "Limited Lifetime Warranty". Not the Leupold "Full Lifetime Guarantee".

Vortex VIP warranty is better than any of Leupold's warranties anyhow.

That quote is from Leupold's website. The only Limited warranty Leupold places on it's products is the Limited 5 Year Warranty on electronics. For the OP, yes, it is a decent spotting scope.
