Is there a step-by-step Uni-Throater process?

I ordered a 7mm uni-throater with a T-handle to open up my FB on my 284 Shehane. I have a .188 FB and want to extend it to .215-.220 so I can run 180 hybrids while still having the bullet outside the donut region. Is there a step-by-step procedure for this?

I am mainly concerned about how to insert the reamer perpendicular and after I get the depth I want, if I have to do anything during the clean up process i.e polishing, removing debris and the best way to remove it.

Also, I am assuming the reamer also cuts the lead angle. Is this correct?

Best bet is to get a reamer holder/stop of some sort. I would not cut a throat without a stop attached. They cut cut like butter, so you could really tear it up without realizing it. I'm sure it could be done without a stop, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Keep backing up the brass stops to find when the cutter starts engaging the throat. I prefer to cut so light as you don't even need to use the T handle (assuming the barrel is off the action), I turn with my fingers only. When you are ready to back the brass stops up some, don't go more than a half turn at a time, this keeps your cuts shallow and allows the sleeve to keep centering on the chamber shoulder. Also keeps tour tool finishes better. DON'T TAKE HEAVY CUTS
