Is the Tikka T3 action bedded ?

I was wondering if the receiver on Tikka guns was glass bedded or do they have anything special in them. I have read about there gun's on the site and they don't mention it yet I hear they are a great gun as far as accuracy.

The T3 in the plastic stock is "bedded" by virtue of full contact along it's bearing surfaces. With my experience (three factory stocks and one Manners bedded in similar fashion) it is pretty good all things considered. The wood stocks are terrible in this regard and provide no support for the factory recoil lug.

My T3 Super varmint stock is all plastic too. The action sits on two solid pillars of plastic that don't look like they are going to compress at all. Essentially the design is like pillar bedding and there would not seem to be any advantage to doing the usual glass bedding trick. It would be more important to make sure the barrel is full floated. My rifle had barrel to stock contact from the receiver to about halfway up the fore end.
The recoil lug set up is a bit unusual in the T3 and takes a bit of getting used to when assembling the action in the stock.

Answer to your question,....NO it is not glass bedded, and yes they shoot great.
