Is the Berger 105VLD the 115 killer?

Does anybody look at the new pointed DTAC 115 that he had made? David stated that the BC. was over .585......or am I beating a dead horse?......jim

johara - based on the discrepancies between Tubb's BC numbers and Bryan Litz's tests, I think its safe to put the BC on the pointed DTAC at .285 G7 AT BEST.

This conversation also begs the question: how much difference is there between a 6Dasher running 105s at 3050 and a 6XC running them at 3100? It seems to be a modest gain for 20% more case capacity...

Mark, I can see what your saying but when you compare the 115 berger to the 105 it looks like a completely different style bullet the meoplat is huge on the 115 and the shape reminds of the old spire points compared to the sleek 105's.
Tubbs new pointed 115 BC was from Sierra to my understanding and was to be updated soon....jim

Yes I am looking at a 243 based case and my barrel is set up for 115's. With the chamber I'm looking at it looks like I can run both 115's and 105's.

Doing some research, reliable speeds of 3200 with 105's are doable. Allthough you probably should have a barrel twist set up for it.
