brass is on shootersproshop.com for saleI recently read on another forum that Nosler is finally producing 20 Nosler ammo and/or brass. Can anyone confirm this? Not trying to rekindle the whole Nosler brass quality discussion.
The SAAMI'd it at the same time they did the 22 Nosler. I guess they were trying to plan ahead.Have not seen anything regarding a 20 Nosler, being put out by Nosler. So far all they show in small caliber and rifle is the 224 cal.
Easy button there is a 20BRAIwill take a 1 - 12 twist and shoot 32 gr. At close to 4250 FPS I
FactWould really like to see another factory offering in 20 caliber if for no other reason than to promote 20 caliber growth. Then maybe we would see a 50 V-Max
A 20 cal 50 or 55 grain will out shine the same grain bullet in a 22 cal from about 400 on out.My theory is if you build a hotrod shoot it like one. I like speed and can't see putting a 50 gr thru it, when I can shoot my 22-250 or 22 Swift with 50 gr.
I agree with the first part of your statement. When I built my 20Dasher I started with the Berger 50 grain LD bullet and it was very accurate and the speed of the 50 was great in that size case, such a flat shooter. When the 55 Berger came along I was pleased with it but it was just not the same perfect balance as that now discontinued bullet. My goal is long distance pd’s and have always wanted a 50 poly tip bullet for that endeavor. As to the second part of your statement I wouldn’t want to build a 20 VarTarg to shoot 50s in a fast twist either.I agree with the fact that among the small calibers there can be an overlap amongst bullet weight but in my opinion a poly tipped Varmint bullet that weighs 48- 50 grains would be awesome in a lot of the 20s out there.I also would like to see a 36 to split the difference between the 32 and 40 grain bullets we already have.I often wonder why we have so few offerings in 20 caliber bullets compared to what you can get in 22.The current supply chain not withstanding. My theory is if you build a hotrod shoot it like one. I like speed and can't see putting a 50 gr thru it, when I can shoot my 22-250 or 22 Swift with 50 gr.
