Is the 20 Nosler actually produced now?

I recently read on another forum that Nosler is finally producing 20 Nosler ammo and/or brass. Can anyone confirm this? Not trying to rekindle the whole Nosler brass quality discussion.

brass is on shootersproshop.com for sale

Take this for what its worth, little birdie told me there calling the brass ( Blems) just to get rid of it.

I don't believe any standard production rifles are out there. I've already got a 20 Grendel and a 20X6.8 so the 20 Nosler would be a waste for me.

Have not seen anything regarding a 20 Nosler, being put out by Nosler. So far all they show in small caliber and rifle is the 224 cal.

I will take a 1 - 12 twist and shoot 32 gr. At close to 4250 FPS I want one. I would even take a 17 Nosler and shoot 20 gr.

Anyone know if the 20 Nosler barrels are being made for a AR-15?

Not that I am aware of.

After they announced the new design they never really delivered the brass or ammo so I doubt anyone would chamber one on speculation.

Hard to say how the above brass came out for sale since it is the only example I have heard of, and those are shown as seconds. Might be worth a question directly to Nosler after the holidays to hear what they say.

If it turns out they start producing the brass with any regularity, someone could give it a try.

I’ve seen Redding dies for this and will call them and ask.According to that other thread the Nosler folks on the phone were not that sure at the time, not sure why everything has to be a big secret. It would certainly work for the AR shooters. It sure would clean up my chamber nicely in the 20 caliber coyote rifle I have.Would really like to see another factory offering in 20 caliber if for no other reason than to promote 20 caliber growth. Then maybe we would see a 50 V-Max ;)

I believe when Nosler sold some of their demo/clearance rifles a few years ago they had one of their bolt action pistols in 20 Nosler that IIRC a Specialty Pistols member bought along with some brass. I think it had a white stock, but it's been a few years. At the time everyone assumed it was the only 20 Nosler around.

My theory is if you build a hotrod shoot it like one. I like speed and can't see putting a 50 gr thru it, when I can shoot my 22-250 or 22 Swift with 50 gr.

A 20 cal 50 or 55 grain will out shine the same grain bullet in a 22 cal from about 400 on out.
On the right is a 55 Berger going 3750 which a 20 BRAI will do easily.
Left is a 55 Berger 22 cal going 3950fps which im guessing would be about max on a 220 swift and way over a 22-250.

I agree with the first part of your statement. When I built my 20Dasher I started with the Berger 50 grain LD bullet and it was very accurate and the speed of the 50 was great in that size case, such a flat shooter. When the 55 Berger came along I was pleased with it but it was just not the same perfect balance as that now discontinued bullet. My goal is long distance pd’s and have always wanted a 50 poly tip bullet for that endeavor. As to the second part of your statement I wouldn’t want to build a 20 VarTarg to shoot 50s in a fast twist either.I agree with the fact that among the small calibers there can be an overlap amongst bullet weight but in my opinion a poly tipped Varmint bullet that weighs 48- 50 grains would be awesome in a lot of the 20s out there.I also would like to see a 36 to split the difference between the 32 and 40 grain bullets we already have.I often wonder why we have so few offerings in 20 caliber bullets compared to what you can get in 22.The current supply chain not withstanding.

Picked up 600 32gr Ballistic Tip Noslers for my 20TAC Cooper a couple months ago.
A 32gr Ballistic Tip @4000fps should leave a LASTING IMPRESSION on most any prairie dog!
