Is it worth it?

Fella's I'm building a 7WSM striker for long range shooting and was thinking about ordering a reamer that I would need to turn the necks to see if I couldn;t get a little more accuracy. I turn the necks on my 308 but just to skim them and clean up. So my question is neck turning worth it for accuracy? I'm talking turning necks to a specific dia. to meet chamber requirments. I'm getting close to needing to order a reamer and just was thinking about having it ground to a specific dia. if it would be worth it or just a pain in the butt. Later,

A question, a statement, and a story...
Elk or paper? Turning brass is really no big deal. A friend has a couple of custom 7mmWSMs that he hunts with. He uses Winchester brass, turns necks and uses an annealing machine to get a much more uniform shoulder bump when FL sizing. He shoots 175 MKs. All of his non dangerous African trophies have been taken with one shot with this combination. I guess that he figures that given the cost of a hunt, and the time involved, why shoot ammo that is less than it could be? Also, I think that he enjoys the detail work, unless he is running around the night before leaving, finishing up ammo that he could have loaded two weeks prior. ;)

I guess now I just need to figure out what dia. neck I need to have the reamer turned to. I don't know if I'll go Elk hunting but I'm sure the Okie deer are not going to like this pistol much. Any suggestions on what I should have my reamer guy turn the reamer too? if I recall I should have about .004" clearance between the loaded brass and chamber correct? Later,

Kirk
