Dennis is correct about the cost of all the sundries, not counting the labor to set up and ship something. I have noticed lately, at least into some areas, that there is an upcharge to send to a private residence rather than a business. Since they will attempt to deliver three times, I can see that it can be more costly to have to deliver to a place where someone may not be there to sign for a package when a signature is required.
I keep all the little boxes that I get from things shipped to me or that are left in my office by others. Saves a lot of cost on sending things out that I am selling.
Also have to consider that the really big shippers get much better rates than the occasional or infrequent shipper. Same thing with credit card costs. Turn over thousands of transactions with a high average ticket price and your fee from the credit card company can be pretty low.
