Is anyone actually winning matches?

Doubt it. Whidden fl bushing, warner solid gold, or full custom on a newlon blank will be the 3 top choices of serious competitors. Not saying the redding wont do it but you may have to find a truck load to get the right one OR design a reamer just to make the die work.

I’ve won club level (12-15 shooters) matches and placed in the top 3 at state level matches in FTR.

Sizing with Redding type S FL bushing dies to control neck tension?
Hell yes! The sizing die is way down the list for things that matter most. If it produces straight ammo that gives good extraction and brass life, what else matters? I've spec'd reamers based on the dimensions of a Redding Type S Full Bushing die for years now. There is no better way! Don't believe everything on the interwebs!o_O Lol!

I've got an equal mix of Whidden and Newlon. For all intents and purposes, I consider them equal. And yes, i've won a few.
I hope this helps,

Lloyd

Amen. All of my wins in BR were with the Redding dies. -Al

I had a savage in a 6br that I dominated factory class ground hog (200,300,500) with and won the years agg. Using redding fl type s bushing die and a comp seater. I was on the heels of the guys shooting unlimited class as well. That cost me a lot of money. Now I have three custom actions, 7 barrels. Not sure if/when it ends lol

To add to this a bit: When I started competing in registered IBS and NBRSA Hunter competition, it was with a .165 shortened 308W that Stan Ware and I dubbed the WareWolf. I got a Redding 308W Body Die, Stan shortened it .165 and the reamer was spec'd from Dave Kiff accordingly. JLC converted the Body die to decap and accept neck bushings and we were off to the races. For those taking notes, the Redding Body Dies are the same internal dimensions as their Type S F.L. bushing dies.

As Yogi Berra would say: "It doesn't never not work." ;):D
