Interesting powder power pro varmint

I've recently been experimenting with this powder for 6.5 Grendel , but found it's great for 223 69gr too. In my 223 20" barrel 1-9” bolt action I'm getting 2925 with this alliant Power pro varmint (100fps faster than Varget) . Looks like it's in the same burn rate as the old alliant Reloder 12 . Another plus is it's $20 a pound . It's Much slower burning than the name implies . Anybody else using/used this powder .

REBOOT!!
I found 6 lbs. of this powder in a lower cabinet in my shop. I must have bought it during the big shortage. Anybody found a good use for it? 223, 6br, etc.?

Very good in the .223 and .20 Practical. Meters well, as one would expect. I've had excellent results with the 39 - 40 grain bullets in the .20 Practical and this powder is very flexible in the .223. I've loaded a ton of 50 grain through 68 grain bullets with this powder in .223 and it has handled that weight range really well. Good velocity, decent shot string stats and good-to-excellent precision. 26 gr. of this powder behind a 53 gr. VMax is a particularly effective and accurate load. Just over 3,400 fps out of a 26" barrel. Cycles just fine in ARs, too. Standard disclaimers apply . . . . safe in my rifle, be sure to work up for yours, etc., etc., etc,

Where does this powder land on the burn rate chart?

That’s the trouble! It’s not on any chart I have. If we “assume” that the rumors are true and that it’s the same as RL 12, it’s slower than H335 and faster than Viht 135. I spent an hour on the net, researching, last night.

I guess I’ll burn it up in my 223s. Thanks JLT.
Here’s the Hornady 8th edition chart:

Same problem I ran into.

Ive used PPV in the 20p, 223, 224 val, 6x45, 6x6.8 and every load prints sub moas with 32,40,50,55,65,90,& 95gr bullets, just that the powder shoots good in everything Ive loaded for in those cases. My best groups hang in at .330" area, my barrels are just mid line stuff, burns great also. IMO its one of those WOW that's a great powder now I need more.

I've found success working up loads for .223's using bullets in the 40 to 55 grain weights with groups as small as 1/3" in my varmint rifles. I was on a mission to find the CHEAPEST high-volume ground-squirrel load. I used this powder, once-fired LC brass $190.00 for 2,400 pcs., and Tula Primers I bought for $1.25/100 and cosmetic 2nds or overrun Nosler Vermageddon bullets which were $40.00/500 to arrive at those groups. Came out to around $25.00/100 rounds of very accurate varmint ammo if I recall, or about 25% less than bulk military ammo on the internet. I was impressed with it for my short to medium-range shooting and I bought more.

I have some Alliant Power Pro Varmint power that I would like use in my 20 Practical. I am currently using IMR8208 and H4198 with great results. Would you mind sharing your Varmint data?

My latest Sierra manual has listings for Varmint in some interesting cartridges.
Like 250 Savage with 70,75 & 90gr bullets.
