Interesting phone call.

I got a call today from what was a ND cell phone number and the lady when I picked up asked me if my business carried AR parts in a muffled tone. I asked what part she was looking for and she gave a big huff into the phone and hung up. I do not carry AR parts for record as my business is building custom bolt rifles and such and I do not have an issue with AR's I sometimes cerakote them or thread barrels for cans.

I tried calling the number back and it was a spoofed number so I called my carrier and they were too chicken to look into who called me. So I suppose this how it starts single out the little guys and make a list of them.

Anyway I am heading out to the shop to build some Freedom.

do you take credit cards for payment?
maybe a bank is starting a black list based on citi's statement
I did at one time and dropped them never again will I deal with them and their guns are evil attitude. Cash, Paypal or check and thats it.

you realize that paypal is part of an anti-gun family(ebay), so every transaction you are donating against your livlyhood.

do you see guns on ebay ?
whole tons of other online places do gun business legally every day, ebay claim there are "legal issue" so they will not ALLOW gun sales.
read your paypal agreement.....no gun related sales'
there is money to be made in gun sales, and they pass on making money.....sorry just a smoke screen for an antigun company. the paypal rule makes it pretty clear.

I've bought quite a few gun parts and shooting related items on ebay. Didn't know they were anti gun.

Put something on ebay like rifle brass. Call it scrap brass pieces and itll sell. Put rifle brass for a gun on there and theyll delete it as soon as they see it. They deleted a rifle rest i put on there years ago. I sold it as a benchrest a week later.

For those of you that want to purchase gun related items with your PayPal funds you can get a PayPal MasterCard Debit Card. From your PP account you can do instant transfers of money to the debit card. One way around their asinine no gun related purchases policy.

Haven't seen any reloading components either have you. Brass, bullets. Used to allow them and when the V.T. Shooting happened they turned C. S. and would not allow it anymore.

got the same call last month from an AZ number

I think Pay Pal is just avoiding any liability.
Ebay permits sale of all reloading gear and gun parts.
Ebay does not allow firearms sales, ammo or components.
That is the standard PC stance of most companies. But Pay Pal permits payment for all the stuff sold on Ebay including gun barrels, stocks and the entire array of reloading tools.

The goober who shot up Virginia Tech used some pistol magazines he got on Ebay.
Ebay responded by prohibiting many gun parts, brass and bullets.
At that time reloading had about 4000 items and it dropped back to about 3200.
Now reloading still does not permit brass and bullets but the listings count is now 60000 items. Yes 60k...
Ebay relaxed the gun parts restrictions.
So everything came back except brass and bullets.
Powder and primers were never permitted.

I like how you said that--I think thats honorable

Very well could have been an honest buyer. She doesn't know what to call what she's looking for, you're the 5th gunshop that asked her questions she couldn't answer, and she's frustrated. A nefarious caller wanting to put you on a list would have been patient to get more info. --Jerry
