INSP Channel

I’m only in my 40s but my dad, God bless his soul, instilled a love for Westerns in me. I’d rather watch The Rifleman, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Tales Of West Fargo over any of the crap on TV today! (Except for Yellowstone and its Western side stories. Those are good)

Most of what they appear to offer is regularly on over the air tv. We get I think 3 or 4 western channels, good thing too because it's about all that worth turning it on for. Pretty sad pickins but when we get tired of the BS we crank up youtube for some "Country Life Vlog", there's a reason they have 6.2m subscribers.

There are many, many western movie channels out there. Each one of them has it's own way of paying for those movies, yes they must be payed for so that you can see them.

If your willing to dig through all the $5 movies at walmart you can find some good westerns there but then you have to get out of that easy chair to do so. However you will now own that movie and can plug it in any time you want and not listen to any of the B.S. that passes for TV any more.

I was a regularly watcher of this channel until Comcast changed the channel line up and took it away from me. They told me I need a subscription if I wanted to continue to have access. I refused with some choice words.

I then proceeded to drop the NFL channel and some other sports channels to reduce my cable bill as revenge. I am almost at the point of going to basic cable and using free streaming services. College football, which I once loved, has turned into a mess of semi-pro players. The NFL money grab, selling game packages to Amazon and others has me moving away from them too.

Other than property taxes, the bill I hate the most is the cable bill! I get hives every time I get the monthly bill.

When I was a kid, we only had two channels, NBC and CBS, then ABC came along. Now I have 500+ channel, the vast majority of which is garbage, cow dung, etc. History channel has turned into reality TV.

However, I must confess, I am addicted to Gunsmoke. I have seen all 635 episodes, but I continue to watch it. I found it free on Pluto, a streaming service. :):):):) Yes, it has commercials but not more than INSP. I have a nice collection of DVD westerns and rotate watching them also.

I apologize for the vent - but it made me feel good.

Chuck Conners was a versatile athlete playing both pro baseball and basketball. As Lucas McCain he kept the town of North Fork in line, including the marshal and that scamp Mark. Even though it wasn’t a western, Lassie ran herself ragged constantly telling everybody that Timmy was in trouble.

I use to watch it on occasion. Then one day, a message popped up that to see the program, I must subscribe to that channel. NOPE!

Grit is a very good movie channel. ROKU at one time had a good western channel line up, I don't know if they still do.

I ve got a tv downstairs on a antenna. Havent watched it much. Just when the weather gets bad. Get the local channels and be safe. I was surprised at the number of channels. Makes you wonder why you pay 150 dollars a month and dont use half of them. Doug

Hope to get back my Canadian channels I like to watch from Erie.

My TV programming (YouTube TV) internet, and land line. $101 per month.
I can live with that, but willing to make adjustments.

Can you record the shows to watch when you want?

My chick is in charge of the TV system and what comes on it. I occasionally take advantage of a newer series on Paramount or one of the channels. My latest is Joe Picket Game warden. Other than that, I usually just watch YouTube vids of how-to stuff, old rock concerts, and Christian Content. Also love to watch these new young conservatives beat up on lib-tards.

Frankly, if I spend too much time staring at the TV, I start hearing my mother telling be to get outside and get the stink off. jd

If you're a child of God, as well as a country boy, redneck type, the Robertson family pod-cast "Unashamed" is a great way to spend about an hour of tv time.

These guys are true country bumpkins, and spend about half the time shooting the breeze about hunting, fishing, and other stuff that yokels like me appreciate. The other half is straight up Bible study, and faithful worship of the Lord. They are all biblical experts, and came by their knowledge the old fashioned way. I highly recommend their show on YouTube. jd

The Rifleman is my favorite show. Gunsmoke a close second.

JD, I listen to the Unashamed podcast regularly in the truck. Have always loved the Robertson family. I own all of Phil’s books. He’s a man of great wisdom. Really turned his life around and is as genuine a person as you can find.
